In two weeks, I'll be flying out to CG Con!
[link]
There I'll be attending the animation job fair, featuring companies such as Pixar, Blizzard, and Valve. As soon, I'm cranking out as much art as I can before then. If anyone has any good advice on getting into visual development, concept design, or story development, please let me know. I could use some guidance. Thanks!
Watches, Favs, & Comments
First and foremost: A HUGE thank you to all who have watched me, faved my work, & left comments. Unfortunately, it's not always possible for me to reply to the massive flood of activity. Please know that your support does in fact mean a great deal to me, and I greatly appreciate it. <3
About Me
I'm a 26 year old artist living & working in the Orlando, Fl, area. I graduated from University of Central Florida as a Digital Media: Internet Interactivity major, and I'm happily enrolled in AnimationMentor.com.
In simple terms, I fingerpaint all over the internet. The technical term for this is "web designer". I also do a bit of everything-- If it's considered artsy or multimedia, I probably do it too. I can make amazing macaroni sculpture with the best of them.
I am a visual alchemist.
I also like to draw, and I'm almost good at coloring within the lines. Almost.

Notes
I'm terrible with notes. I never see them within any reasonable amount of time, and I'm even worse at replying to them when I do see them. If you need to contact me, please e-mail me instead: cowkitty at gmail.com
Sites
My main art/portfolio site is now Atomic Ginger ([link]). I host a (semi) daily art blog there, with a lot of sketches and random things. From there, you can find links to my Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc.
Medium
I tend to draw all my artwork on whatever paper I can find with a 2H pencil. I then scan it in at 300dpi into Photoshop, clean up the lineart and then take it into Painter X for coloring. I use Rob's Brushes ([link]) since Digital Watercolors hasn't been the same in Painter since version 6. I then bring it back into Photoshop for any additional color corrections and/or textures & graphical elements. I usually work on a PC running XP 64-bit, though I fool around on Macs occasionally. I also use a Wacom Cintiq.
Dr. Sketchy's
It's a live figure drawing session I host one a month at Tatame Lounge. The models are always dressed as superheroes, burlesque performers, retro housewives, or drag queens. It's a hoot.
Artists of all skill levels and occupations are welcome to come. Even non-artists who just want to hang out and have some sake and good times with good people are more than welcome. Artists are asked to pay $5 for the evening to help cover model fees and prize costs. Oh, did I mention we have contests? Silly, ridiculous contests.

Hey hey!

A lot of the stuff I post here is stuff I've had commissioned by other artists. I also post pictures I've drawn myself though, and I usually try to indicate it, though its pretty easy to tell which are mine, they are the inferior looking ones.
